Toronto, Canada's largest city and the 5th largest city in North America, is a fascinating cultural melting pot where over 100 languages and dialects are spoken. Principal among these is, of course, English, and this makes the city a wonderful place to improve your English while enjoying a vibrant multicultural atmosphere. Toronto offers lots to do and see: from sailing on Lake Ontario, cultural events, and interesting architecture, such as the CN tower, the world's tallest building. There is a lively nightlife and Toronto has the lowest crime rate of any major city in the Americas.

Situated between the snowy Rocky Mountains and the clear waters of the Pacific Ocean, Vancouver is probably Canada's most beautiful city. As its region's cultural and commercial center, Vancouver boasts tourist, athletic and cultural attractions that draw visiters from across the globe. Night clubs, shopping, cafés and restaurants line the streets of the downtown area for those of metropolitan tastes while the mountains, forests, rivers and lakes of the region draw those more oriented toward sports and the great outdoors.

The Schools

Toronto
The school is centrally located in the heart of downtown. Small class size and professional and highly qualified instructors ensure that you receive the best education possible. Besides its unique atmosphere - beautiful, colourful and comfortable - the school is designed to create an ideal environment for learning and your overall comfort.

The school offers 13 classrooms, 2 student lounges, a language lab, kitchen, small library, coffee/juice and snack bar, a movie room, Internet access, a scanner and digital camera.

Vancouver
Our partner institution in Vancouver is located in the downtown area in the heart of the commercial neighborhood of Robson Street. It is near several art galleries, theaters, concert halls and other city attractions. The classrooms are numerous and spacious and there is a lounge, an exterior patio, a language lab, a small library and a computer lab with free internet access.

The small group sizes and competent professors guarantee active participation and students quickly find themselves at ease expressing themselves in English. The intimate and welcoming ambiance in the school permits students to learn in the best conditions.

Language Courses

We offer 3 programs in our catalogue:

Intensive English, 15, 20, 25, or 30 lessons per week
Program takes a comprehensive approach to learning practical English. You will work with a variety of listening and reading materials, such as films, songs and newspapers, in addition to your textbook, to develop your confidence and abilities in those skills. Role plays, topical discussions, debates and presentation activities will be used to develop your pronunciation and use of English with ease and accuracy. Courses begin every Monday and are open to ages 16 and above.
TOEFL Preparation, 30 lessons per week
If you are interested in preparing for an internationally recognized certificate in English, such as TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), our exam preparation courses can help you achieve your goals. Our TOEFL course emphasizes the four main components of the test: listening comprehension, grammar structure, written expression, and vocabulary. In addition to your primary text you will work with a variety of material, including audio exercises and computer programs to ensure your success on the TOEFL.

Courses begin every Monday. Open to ages 18 and above.
TOEIC Preparation, 30 lessons per week (Toronto only)
The course is based on the requirements of the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) exam and focuses on the development of language skills (utilizing audio/visual and computer methods) essential for effective everyday communication in the world of business.

Courses begin every Monday. Open to ages 18 and above.
Business English, 30 lessons per week
Our Business English Program will enable you to improve your vocabulary, writing and listening abilities so that you may effectively function in business situations involving face-to-face meetings, writing correspondence, making presentations and negotiating. In addition, you will learn about North American business customs and practices and focus on vocabulary for your particular field of work or study.

Courses begin every Monday. Open to ages 19 and above.

Accommodation

We offer accommodation either in carefully selected host families or our student residences. Residences come fully equipped and include cable TV, telephone, Internet access, laundry facilities and backyard. All students are provided linen and bath towels upon arrival. The residences are decorated and furnished with the student's comfort in mind.
